I love antique beads because they're often made in ways that can't be duplicated today. These earrings feature French beads that are likely around 100 years old, and I believe they were made using an old standard technique using lead. Now illegal because of health concerns during the manufacturing process, these exude a kind of sparkle that modern-day methods can only hint at. They refract light brilliantly without ever being gaudy, somehow understated and wildly glamorous all at once.
Materials: 14k gold earwires, antique French beads, contemporary Japanese glass beads
